Robert P. Blau, M.D.

Dr. Blau has been providing medical and surgical management for Vitreo-Retinal problems since 1973. He completed his Residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and a fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He has been in private practice in the Detroit area since that time and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has contributed to the understanding of diseases of the retina and vitreous through multiple clinical presentations and publications.

Dr. Blau has special interests in Diabetic Retinopathy, Macular Disorders, Retinal Detachments, and Retinal Vascular Disorders. He was one of the first Doctors in Michigan to utilize Ophthalmic Ultrasound, Retinal Fluorescent Photography, Laser Photocoagulation and Vitreous Surgery in the diagnosis and treatment of Vitreo-Retinal Diseases.

He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists, The American Society for Lasers in Medicine and Surgery, The International Society for Ophthalmic Ultrasound, the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and several others.

He has been Chairman of the Ophthalmology Division, Department of Surgery, at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital, Pontiac, MI since 2006.

Marshall N. Cyrlin, M.D.

Dr. Cyrlin did his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois, Eye and Ear Infirmary and a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Glaucoma at Harvard University, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Cyrlin is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Charter Member of the American Glaucoma Society specialty group. Dr. Cyrlin is Emeritus Director of the Glaucoma Service at Beaumont Eye Institute, Royal Oak, Michigan. He has an appointment as Professor of Ophthalmology, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, and as Clinical Professor of Biomedical Sciences (Ophthalmology), Eye Research Institute, Oakland University, Rochester, MI. He has been actively involved in clinical trials of glaucoma pharmaceutical agents. He has published several book chapters and numerous papers dealing with glaucoma diagnostics and therapeutics and has lectured nationally and internationally. Dr. Cyrlin has received an Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has had multiple listings in Best Doctor’s in America.
