 Associated Vision Consultants is a group of specialty, fellowship-trained and experienced ophthalmologists who provide diagnostic, medical, laser and surgical care for a wide variety of vision threatening disorders.
We perform consultation and second opinions or assist in the care of patients referred by other physicians.
We also provide initial evaluation and continuing care to patients who come to AVC for their eye care.
AVC doctors work closely with other local specialists to meet the needs of those patients who require additional management for LASIK, Refractive surgery, Cornea surgery, Oculoplastic surgery, Neuroophthalmology, Pediatric Ophthalmology and Low Vision Services.

 Marshall N. Cyrlin, M.D.has been practicing as a Glaucoma and Cataract specialist since 1981. He received his M.D. degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis in 1975. He did his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois, Eye and Ear Infirmary and completed a Clinical and Research Fellowship in Glaucoma at Harvard University, Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Dr. Cyrlin is Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Charter Member of the American Glaucoma Society specialty group. He is a Member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Member of the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology and a Member of the Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons.
Dr. Cyrlin is Emeritus Director of the Glaucoma Service at Beaumont Eye Institute, Royal Oak, Michigan. He has an appointment as Professor of Ophthalmology, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, and as Clinical Professor of Biomedical Sciences (Ophthalmology), Eye Research Institute, Oakland University, Rochester, MI.
Dr. Cyrlin has received an Honor Award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and has had multiple listings in Best Doctor's in America (2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010).
Dr Cyrlin has been actively involved in clinical trials of glaucoma medications and treatments. He has published several book chapters and numerous papers dealing with glaucoma diagnostics and therapeutics and has lectured nationally and internationally.

Associated Vision doctors perform state-of-the-art laser and surgery for retinal disease, glaucoma and cataract
Robert P. Blau, M.D. has been providing medical and surgical management for Vitreo-Retinal problems since 1973. He completed his Residency at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and a fellowship in Vitreo-Retinal Surgery at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. He has been in private practice in the Detroit area since that time and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He has contributed to the understanding of diseases of the retina and vitreous through multiple clinical presentations and publications.
